Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon is a new love story with a difference. The TV serial is about two different people Khushi and Arnav. They hate each other to the core and yet they destiny has it they start liking.

In Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon Sanaya Irani plays the character of Khushi. She is a simple and family oriented girl from Lucknow. She is God fearing and a people oriented person. She run a halwai shop. Her reputation in Lucknow is destroyed by Arnav, therefore she has to move to Delhi.

Barun Sobti plays the character of Arnav in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. She is rich and emotionalless business from Delhi. He runs a Garment business. Due to some mis-understandings, Arnav destroys Khushi reputation in Lucknow. As a result Khushi has to leave the place and move to Delhi with her sister.

Due to destiny, Khushi damage Arnav's new car. She promise to pay for the damages. To repay, she start working in a company. However that company belong to Arnav. Slowly this hatred relation changes shape eventually in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.
