The TV serial Maryada is about Jhaakar Family of Haryana. The drama highlights how hidden truths of what seems like a perfect family can be very ugly. This story is about four women (Devyani, Uttara, Vidya & Priya).
Brahmanand Jhaakar, played by Vishwajeet Pradhan, is the head of the Jhaakar Family in Maryada. Devyani Jhaakar (Indrani Halder) is his wife. Devyani is perfectionist and look after the welfare of the family in the TV serial. Devyani has two sons, Gaurav(Dakssh Ajit Singh) and Aditya (Rakesh Bapat).
Vidya played by Vindhya Tiwari in Maryaada TV series, is Gaurav’s wife. Vidya is a simple village girl and love the family and her husband. But Gaurav does not like her wife in the drama Maryada. Aditya has liking for the college principle's daughter Priya (Riddhi Dogra). Uttara, played by Kamya Punjabi, is Devyani’s sister.
